I’ve been going to this hair salon for years so has my mother never had issues. I have trusted them with my hair for a long time. I went there recently to do my hair. I already had blonde highlights and I told the lady I wanted to go darker but if going darker with darker highlights is going to damage my hair or make it fall out please let me know she said that it wasn’t going to do any damage to my hair and that my hair wouldn’t fall out. Then I trusted her, when I got home to shampoo and condition my hair it ALL fell out leaving my hair thin. I confronted her about it and asked for half and she said no, the only way I can get half is if they were to dye my hair again black because she didn’t want me walking out of the salon with the “beautiful highlights” that they gave me when those highlights aren’t what I asked for in the first place I said sure then she changed her mind. They wanted to put my hair under stress again to make it fall out which I don’t trust them anymore. Mind you I’ve been going to them for years. They started talking bad about me and my mom who passed away. She insulted my mother who isn’t here and used to go to their salon it was a complete nightmare. I’m so sad because they have always been nice to me never any trouble but they started to show their true colors. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Very unprofessional. I will attach a photo of my hair that fell off. I’m very heartbroken by this. This isn’t fair and they won’t compensate me at all. They even laughed in my face and said that is not a lot of hair that fell off. They are so immature and unprofessional and mean girl. DONT GO HERE, this place needs to be shut down ASAP!

What this salon did to me was illegal. If I were more litigious, I would be taking them to court; fortunately for them, I am just here to ruin their reputation. I walked in for a simple wash, cut, and blow dry. Because I didn’t want a lot done to my hair and I liked that it seemed like a local family run business, I was happy to go in and wait for a simple cut and dry. After waiting quietly for half an hour, they called me back for a wash. Upon washing my hair, the woman had me wait for an additional 20 minutes for the cut. The lady then cut my hair and I noticed afterwards she forgot to cut some pieces, which when I asked her to fix, she did, with disdain. I brushed it off, let her do her thing, then I was passed on to another woman to blow dry. I noticed my head felt hot as the woman blow dried my hair but just assumed it was a hot machine and let it be. I’ll tell you, my hair never looked more perfect after that heat was applied; it was too perfect. She then proceeded to straighten my hair and it smelled like an incinerator. Its been less than 24 hours since the experience and I now realize that it wasn’t just the heat, it was sulfur. The “post-wash” wait wasn’t because they were busy, it was because they were letting the product sink into my hair and scalp. I am currently with a professional stylist who is explaining what these women did to me and understands the protocol for chemically induced hair, what the reaction does and can do, and knows how dangerous what they did is to me. She explains this to me as she is trying furiously to wash the rotten egg stench out of my hair. ***These women, without my consent, put extremely powerful chemicals on my scalp that A. had I previously colored my hair, would have caused permanent damage not just to my hair, but to my scalp. B. “Perm/Straightening” chemicals are extremely hazardous and can cause cancer if not used properly. C. Applying chemicals without customer consent is not just unprofessional, it is illegal and dangerous.*** Shut this place down. I say this with so much vigor, as I sit and wait for the chemical burn pain to cease from my head, hoping these burns don’t seep too deep near the most important organ on my body.

My head is completely chemically burned. I told her repeatedly I couldn’t take the pain from the bleach and she left me sitting there for 30 minutes because she had a different customer. I was basically begging her to take the bleach out and when she finally did she seemed upset about me bothering her. After leaving my scalp raw (it’s currently bleeding) she put in the wrong hair color and charged us $60. Never going back again. I hope this place gets shut down.

They know nothing about styling, they killed me completely, completely messed up my hair. In the picture you can see their layer hair cut. She destroyed me, i will never return for god sake I just wanted the tips removed. I am extremely sad.

Friendly, professional staff. Happy that a good old-fashion haircut still exists in NYC at an affordable price. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The stylist made sure she asked all questions before cutting. She made sure the length and style I wanted were her priority. Loved the attention and care given! I would definitely come back to this salon!
